Welcome to Windmill Hill
For the best in Canadian handcrafted soap you need look no further. It is our passion and our business. Please, browse our store, or join us at one of the events we will be attending throughout the year.
Some might say Windmill Hill is a bit of an odd name for a soap making company. Isn't it supposed to be called something clean or soapy or bathy? Well, not necessarily, you see we live on top of a hill in the middle of a windfarm, our name makes sense eh? Now, I don't want to tread on anyones toes, but we love them, we have 2 turbines about 800 meters behind us and 3 more the same distance to the front of the property. They get a lot of negative press, they kill birds, crops don't grow, they give people headaches and the wildlife move away. I have to say we are not wading knee deep in bird carcases, the corn that was planted near the three across the road is looking good, we only have headaches after a good night out with friends and there are more than enough Deer, Raccoons and Coyote to go around. The picture shows the turbines at the front of our property. If you ever get a chance to get near to one, take it, they are something to admire, but ask the landowner first, don't trespass please.
